COA Announces Service Schedule for Week of July 4

In observance of the Fourth of July holiday, City of Amarillo (COA) offices will be closed Friday (July 3).

The COA service schedule for the Fourth of July week:

  • City hall will be closed Friday (July 3).
  • All Amarillo Public Library locations will be closed Friday (July 3) and Saturday (July 4). All APL locations will have regular hours of operation (2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) on Sunday (July 5). The APL drive-up book drop and public dumpster at the Southwest Branch Library will not be available on Saturday (July 4).
  • Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare (AAMW) will be closed Friday (July 3) and Saturday (July 4).
  • Amarillo Municipal Court will be closed Friday (July 3). Payments can be made at the court’s drop box at 201 S.E. Fourth. Online payments can be made at the court’s website: www.amarillo.gov/municipal-court
  • Amarillo City Transit will be closed Saturday (July 4). ACT will be providing public transportation to the Red, White and Boom! July 4 Celebration. The schedule for Solid Waste services:

  • Residential customers: Thursday customers will be serviced Wednesday (July 1) and Friday customers will be serviced Thursday (July 2).
  • Commercial customers: Commercial customers will be serviced on their usual scheduled days. Curbside service will not be available Friday (July 3).
  • The landfill will be open Friday (July 3) and will be closed Saturday (July 4).
  • Brush sites will be closed Friday (July 3) and Saturday (July 4).

Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail Golf Complexes will have normal hours of operation.
