Want to Learn and Experience What it’s like to be a firefighter in Amarillo?

The Amarillo Fire Department (AFD) Citizen Academy offers residents and community partners a behind-the-scenes look at the work of Amarillo’s firefighters and the many ways the department serves the community. This program is designed to educate participants about fire operations, safety practices, and emergency response while building stronger connections between AFD and the public.
