COA Announces Service Schedule for Juneteenth

In observance of Juneteenth (Friday, June 19), City of Amarillo (COA) offices will be closed Friday (June 19).

The COA service schedule for the week of Juneteenth:

  • City hall will be closed Friday (June 19). All Amarillo Public Library locations will be closed Friday (June 19) with regular hours throughout the weekend. Amarillo Municipal Court will be closed Friday (June 19). Payments can be made at the court’s drop box at 201 S.E. Fourth. Online payments can be made at the court’s website: www.amarillo.gov/municipal-court
  • Amarillo City Transit will have normal hours of operation. For more information call (806) 378-3095 or go to: www.amarillo.gov/amarillo-city-transit/

The schedule for Solid Waste services:

  • Residential customers: Thursday customers will be serviced Wednesday (June 17) and Friday customers will be serviced Thursday (June 18).
  • Commercial customers: Friday routes will be serviced Thursday (June 18).
  • Curbside service will not be available Friday (June 19).
  • The landfill will be closed Friday (June 19) and will reopen Saturday (June 20).
  • Brush sites will be closed Friday (June 19) and will reopen (Monday June 22).

Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail Golf Complexes will have normal hours of operation.
