COA Announces Veterans Day Service Schedule

In recognition of Veterans Day (Tuesday, November 11) the City of Amarillo (COA) will implement the following holiday service schedule:

  • City Hall will be closed Tuesday.
  • Amarillo City Transit will operate a modified schedule on Tuesday. For more information call 806 378-3095 or go to: www.amarillo.gov/amarillo-city-transit/
  • The Veterans Day schedule for Solid Waste (trash pickup):

Residential Collection: Tuesday routes will be serviced on Wednesday (November 12).

Commercial Collection: All routes will be serviced on Monday (November 10) and Wednesday (November 12).

Curbside Collection: No curbside collection service will be available Tuesday.

Brush Sites/Landfill: The City of Amarillo landfill and brush sites will be closed Tuesday.

  • The Amarillo Public Library System will be closed Tuesday.
  • All city golf courses will have normal hours of operation Tuesday.
  • Amarillo Municipal Court will be closed Tuesday. Payments may be made at the drop-box in the foyer of the Amarillo Police Department or online at: www.amarillo.gov/municipal-court/
