The North Heights Water Main Replacement Project will continue Monday (September 8) with a replacement project in the alley between the 1200 block of N. Harrison Street and Tyler Street. The project will continue south towards the 1000 block of N. Harrison/Tyler Streets.

The project, which was awarded earlier this summer, will replace existing two-inch water lines with new six-inch water lines to improve water service in the North Heights area.

The majority of the work will occur in the alleys and some street crossings. In preparation of this work, the City of Amarillo Solid Waste Department will also be relocating dumpsters in impacted alleys.

The project will affect traffic around the construction area. The contractor will minimize impact to the public as much as possible. Motorists are advised to please heed all traffic signs in the area.
