COA Service Schedule Announced for Fourth of July

In recognition of the Fourth of July holiday – Independence Day – the City of Amarillo (COA) offices will be closed Friday (July 4).

The COA service schedule for the week of July 4:

  • City Hall and Amarillo Municipal Court will be closed Friday (July 4). Defendants may make payments via the municipal court website at: www.amarillo.gov/municipal-court/
  • All Amarillo Public Library locations will be closed Friday (July 4). Regular hours will resume Saturday (July 5) for the Downtown Library, East Branch, North Branch and Northwest Branch locations. The Southwest Branch location will be open Saturday (July 5) from 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Amarillo City Transit operations will not be in service Friday (July 4). For more information call (806) 378-3095 or go to: www.amarillo.gov/amarillo-city-transit/

The schedule for Solid Waste services:

  • Residential customers: Thursday routes will be collected on Wednesday (July 2) and Friday routes will be collected on Thursday (July 3).
  • Commercial customers: All routes will be collected on Thursday (July 3).
  • Curbside collection: Curbside collection will not be available Friday (July 4).
  • Landfill: The landfill will be closed Friday (July 4) and reopen Saturday (July 5).
  • Brush sites: Brush sites will be closed Friday (July 4) and reopen Saturday (July 5).

Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail Golf Complexes will have normal hours of operation.
