COA Service Schedule Announced for Juneteenth

In recognition of Juneteenth, the City of Amarillo (COA) offices will be closed on Thursday (June 19).

The COA service schedule for the week of Juneteenth:

  • City Hall and Amarillo Municipal Court will be closed Thursday (June 19). Defendants may make payments via the municipal court website at: www.amarillo.gov/municipal-court/
  • All Amarillo Public Library locations will be closed Thursday (June 19).
  • Amarillo City Transit will operate a reduced service schedule  Thursday (June 19). For more information call (806) 378-3095 or go to: www.amarillo.gov/amarillo-city-transit/

The schedule for Solid Waste services:

  • Residential customers: Thursday routes will be collected Wednesday (June 18).
  • Commercial customers: Commercial service will not be available Thursday (June 19). All routes will be collected Wednesday (June 18) and Friday (June 20).
  • Curbside customers: Curbside collection will not be available Thursday (June 19). Curbside collection will resume Friday (June 20).
  • Landfill: The landfill will be closed Thursday (June 19).
  • Brush sites: Brush sites will follow a regular schedule of 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail Golf Complexes will have normal hours of operation.
