AMARILLO –  Summer may be winding down, but the grass is still growing in Amarillo. And the City of Amarillo (COA) has a money-making opportunity for mowers.

The City Marshal Office has openings for mowing contractors with plenty of business available.

“At this time, there is a backlog of properties in the city that require mowing,” said Shayla Sotelo, Community Improvement Chief for the City Marshal. “We have work available all year long.”

Requirements for mowing contractors include basic mowing equipment, insurance, reliable transportation and a camera to record the property before and after the mowing is complete.

For more information on the COA mowing program, called 806-378-6519.

Information packets are available at the City Marshal Office at the Simms Building, 810 S. Buchanan.
