TSLAC Accredited
Amarillo Public Library is proud to be an accredited member of the Texas Library System for 2027, as recognized by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC). Accreditation is the state’s way of confirming that a public library meets minimum standards for funding, services, and operations.
For patrons, that means more resources at your fingertips. Accredited libraries can take part in the statewide Interlibrary Loan program, which helps us get materials from other libraries when we don’t have them on our own shelves. They also have access to the TexShare Card and TexShare Databases programs, along with other funding resources. It’s one way we bring more programs, resources, and ways to learn and explore to our community.
