Unless you actually lost money or providing identifying details that will allow the "scammer" to access your bank or other other account, you do not need to make a report.  The Police Department does not need the telephone number of the person that called, as the number will not allow us to locate or contact the person involved.  Telephone numbers that show up on your caller ID may not be the actual number or may not be traceable.  If you have concerns or questions, call the Crime Prevention Unit at (806) 378-4257 (weekdays 7:00 am to 4:30 pm).
