Operating hours are Monday thru Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Report to cashier's window before entering courtroom at least 30 minutes before court session begins

Municipal Court Location

The Amarillo Municipal Court is located at 201 S.E. 4th Avenue, northeast of Amarillo National Bank in downtown Amarillo. We are on the first floor in the Police/Courts Building and our entrance faces 4th Avenue.

The Municipal Court & customer parking lot is on the corner of 4th Avenue and Taylor. There is additional free parking available in the south parking lot of the Police/Courts Building. Additional paid on-street parking and parking garage are also available within the boundary. See Downtown Parking Information page for details.

Amarillo Municipal Court Scheduled Holidays

  • New Years Day – January 1
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – third Monday in January
  • Memorial Day – last Monday in May
  • Independence Day – July 4
  • Labor Day – first Monday in September
  • Veterans Day – November 11
  • Thanksgiving Day – fourth Thursday in November
  • Day After Thanksgiving – fourth Friday in November
  • Christmas Eve – December 24
  • Christmas Day – December 25

If one of the above named holidays falls on a Saturday, the holiday shall be observed the preceding Friday. If it falls on a Sunday, it shall be observed the following Monday.  


A secure drop box for citation payments is available 24 hours a day in the front of the main lobby at the Municipal Courts Building. You may also make a payment online

Payments made during business hours may be made in person at the Court.
