Prior to the implementation of the Transit Asset Management Plan, the Amarillo City Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm. The hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers, Room 302, City Hall, 509 SE 7th Ave, Amarillo, Texas. The purpose of the public hearing will be to afford citizens the opportunity to discuss the plan’s content. In May 2018 the Council authorized the City Manager to set performance targets to be used in the preparation of an asset management plan. The TAMP describes the existing condition and the strategy for preserving assets.

Transit Asset Management Plan

The TAMP covers four years, and will be updated at least every two years, or as needed.  The TAMP includes:

  1. An inventory for all assets used in the provision of public transportation.
  2. A condition assessment of capital assets.
  3. A management approach to preserve and replace assets.
  4. Investment prioritization to accomplish the management targets.
