Census 2010
An accurate Census is very important to Texas because numbers are used to establish congressional districts and Census information affects the numbers of seats Texas occupies in the U.S. House of Representatives. Completing your Census form and mailing it back is also important for the citizens of Amarillo because Census information will be used to allocate $400 billion federal funds to local communities for schools, roads and many quality-of-life services.
