The federally-funded Women, Infants, and
Children (WIC) Nutrition Program seeks to increase infant, child, and
maternal nutritional status among low and moderate income families. The WIC
program serves as an adjunct to good health care, intended to prevent the
occurrence of health problems and improve the health status of participants
during critical times of growth and development. Its purpose is to provide
nutrition education and food assistance to those categories of people who
have been found to be the most vulnerable to the effects of malnutrition and
to achieve optimal nutritional status for children prior to entry into
school continues. The location of

- Panhandle WIC Clinic at 500 Main Street
The WIC program continually strives to
expand the program in Potter, Randall, Armstrong, Oldham, and Carson
counties to serve as many eligible participants as possible. Following is a
chart depicting the various activities the WIC Department is involved in
