Provides day health services to elderly and disabled including transportation, nursing care, exercises and therapy in a supervised protective environment.

Catholic Family Services-S.O.S. Activity Center  CDBG $37,000
The Students of the Streets (SOS) Center is an activity center for youth ages 6 to 17 promoting personal development, negotiation and coping skills, and providing tutoring and mentoring

PRPC-Title IV-A Child Care Assistance CDBG $100,000
Leverages 2:1 match increasing child care funds available for lower income working families

Guyon Saunders Resource Center  CDBG $37,992
The resource center provides daytime shelter to homeless persons and is the first point of contact in the Amarillo Continuum of Care. Funds are used for operational expenses.

Family Support Services-FAST (Families And Schools Together) Program CDBG $8,000
Provides supplies and materials for the FAST Program which serves at-risk children from ages 6-14.

The Salvation Army-Support Our Social Services (SOSS) CDBG $37,701
Supports needs assessment and case management for individuals and families seeking shelter.

Wesley Club Wrestling Program  CDBG $12,000
Operational support for the parent-led youth wrestling program. Program serves many at-risk children providing wrestling skills, team and individual development.

Community Improvement Housing Inspector  CDBG $54,386
Covers costs of an inspector dedicated to the target area with the goal of enhancing enforcement to eliminate blighting influences.

Program Administration CDBG $388,924
Provides the salary and operational support for the management and administration of the CDBG and HOME programs.

Rehabilitation Support  CDBG $171,105
Provides the salary and operational support for the Rehab Inspector I and II who provide the inspection and construction oversight services for the CDBG and HOME housing rehabilitation activities.

Transportation for the Homeless CDBG $9,000
Funding provides Amarillo City Transit tickets to 8 agencies of the Coalition for the Homeless to assist homeless persons with transportation.

CHDO Operating Support HOME $50,032
Assists with the development and management of the CHDO projects of Catholic Family Services and Amarillo Habitat for Humanity

HOME Administration HOME $100,064
Salary and operating support for the administration and management of the HOME program.

Homeowner Emergency Repair Grant Program CDBG $449,076
Provides grants to very low income homeowners to repair hazardous conditions in  their homes.  Work may also include renovations to improve accessibility.

YMCA of Amarillo – Midtown Branch, Plumbing Repairs CDBG $98,031
Replace sewer drain lines in the swimming pool locker rooms at the YMCA Midtown Branch.

Major & Minor Housing Rehabilitation Program  CDBG $285,969
  HOME $216,000
Provides financial assistance to very low income homeowners for the moderate to substantial renovation of their homes.

Hamlet Park Playground Replacement CDBG $120,000
Project replaces existing play equipment with a modular play structure, providing a safer, ADA accessible recreational area.

Demolition and Clearance CDBG $90,000
Unsafe, uninhabitable and vacant buildings are demolished and lots cleared on a spot clearance basis.

CHDO Projects – CFS Rental Housing HOME $200,000
Catholic Family Services will purchase and rehab a multi-family rental complex which will  provide affordable rents to lower income households.

CHDO Projects – Amarillo Habitat for Humanity HOME $84,000
Habitat will utilize funding to construct sidewalks, driveways, foundations and utility services for homes in lower income neighborhoods.

HOMEbuyer Assistance HOME $200,548
Through lender referrals, down payment and closing cost  assistance is offered to homebuyers at or below 80% MFI.

Rental Rehabilitation   HOME $150,000
No interest deferred payment loans are offered to property owners as an incentive to renovate substandard rental units and make these units available to lower income households.
