This information sheet is provided as a tool to explain how permit fees are calculated and to describe various types of permit fees. This information is not all-inclusive. There are times when these fees can and need to be adjusted according to the type of project being permitted, the amount of work involved, etc. To give you information on how to determine your cost of construction, the following definition is provided.
PERMANENT SIGN PERMIT FEES
All Projects: $ Value × 0.0030 = Permit Fee: Rounded to whole dollars, with ninety dollars ($90.00) being the minimum amount per permit.
TEMPORARY SIGN PERMIT FEES
“Limited” temporary sign permit – $15 fee
This permit allows a temporary sign to be displayed for up to 60 days.
“Annual” temporary sign permit – $60 fee
This permit allows a temporary sign to be displayed for four 60 day periods per year. The sign must be removed after each 60 day period for a minimum of 30 days
“Annual” banner permit – $60 fee
This permit allows the display of a banner on a property for one year. The banner must be attached to the building. Different banners can be displayed throughout the one year time frame as long as there is only one banner displayed at a time.
