Input Sought on Community Development

Amarillo, TX – The City of Amarillo’s Community Development office will host a Public Hearing this Thursday, June 6. The public is encouraged to comment on projects and activities being considered for funding. A Work Session, which is open to the public, begins at 5 p.m. with the Public Hearing scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in the Harrington Library Consortium Room at the Downtown Library, 413 S. Buchanan Street.

The Public Hearing will allow citizens to comment on the 2013-14 Annual Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development and develop a recommendation for the allocation of resources as follows:

  • 2013-2014 Community Development Block Grant:  $1,537,811
  • 2013-2014 HOME Investment Partnership Program:   $539,003
